MRC 25th Anniversary
The Media Research Center Celebrates 25 Years of Fighting Liberal Media Bias!

The Media Research Center is proud to celebrate 25 years of holding the liberal media accountable for shamelessly advancing a left-wing agenda, distorting the truth, and vilifying the conservative movement.

Since 1987, our unwavering commitment to neutralizing left-wing bias in the news media and popular culture has influenced how millions of Americans perceive so-called objective reporting.

We’re grateful to our fans, grassroots supporters, and donors for allowing us to fight liberal media bias for a quarter century. Your passion for our cause has helped us achieve extraordinary success in shaping public opinion. Here’s to the next 25 years of forcing the media to "Tell the Truth!"

About the MRC

News Analysis Division, the "Leader in Documenting, Exposing and Neutralizing Liberal Media Bias," employs a team of expert news analysts who daily monitor all major nationally televised and print news broadcasts. The News Analysis Division publishes the daily CyberAlert e-mail report, weekly Media Reality Check reports and the every other week Notable Quotables collection of the most biased quotes from journalists — including the annual year-end "Awards for the Year's Worst Reporting" — as well as Profiles in Bias examinations of bias exhibited by influential journalists and Special Report studies. Also part of the division: The MRC's annual "DisHonors Awards" gala and the MRC's blogs, NewsBusters, "Exposing and Combating Liberal Media Bias" and TimesWatch, "Documenting and Exposing the Liberal Political Agenda of the New York Times."

The Business & Media Institute (BMI) is dedicated to "Advancing the Culture of Free Enterprise in America." Formerly the Free Market Project, BMI is the business and economics division of the MRC and is the only organization dedicated to correcting the media's anti-free enterprise biased reports and to promoting a fair portrayal of the business community in the news and entertainment media. The Balance Sheet e-mail newsletter is packed with analysis of the top issues in the news from a free-market perspective. Each newsletter also includes essential research and thought-provoking commentary.

The Culture and Media Institute (CMI) fights to preserve and help restore America’s culture, character, traditional values, and morals against the assault of the liberal media elite, and to promote fair portrayal of social conservatives and religious believers in the media. CMI, the cultural division of the Media Research Center, is dedicated to correcting misconceptions in the media about social conservatism and religious faith. As the media and entertainment industry grow more aggressive in assailing people and institutions that hold traditional values, CMI is drawing on MRC’s vast resources to counterpunch with a unique mix of timely facts, analyses and arguments.

Cybercast News Service (CNSNews.com), "The Right News. Right Now" is an indispensable online resource for conservatives in the media, public policy and at the grassroots level, for news as it should be reported — accurate, balanced, and unfiltered. The CNSNews.com site features "Top Headlines," "News This Hour," "News on the Web," "Special Reports" as well as in-depth reporting on politics, culture and international issues. CNSNews.com also distributes a daily E-Brief (subscribe) with the latest headlines and exclusive stories.

Sean Hannity
“I'm a big fan. I quote CNS News all the time.”

Mark Levin
“I read CNSnews.com every day and so should you.”

Rep. Allen West
"We have to have that guardian that really does look at the objectivity of the media and what is going on so that we can tell the American people the truth... So that we can have that level playing field out there, because this fifth column that the media has become, is taking America down a very perilous road. So I want to thank the MRC and Mr. Bozell and all of you for what you are doing."

MRCTV.org is the multimedia division of MRC featuring original content and aggregated videos of the news, people and events conservatives care about. The site features all of the Media Research Center’s television appearances, including interviews with MRC President Brent Bozell, and serves as an online platform for conservatives to share and view videos on topics ranging from breaking news to political analysis and humor. MRCTV broke news documenting vulgar behavior at Occupy Wall Street events and will continue to be at the forefront of providing original breaking-news footage, man-on-the-street interviews, and issue-oriented studio productions.

MRC Action Team is the grassroots arm of the Media Research Center. Our team directly contacts hundreds of thousands Americans each week, urging citizens to take action in neutralizing the left-wing press. We mobilize our half a million members to counter left-wing media bias with petitions, e-mail campaigns, and phone banks all demanding fair and accurate reporting in the media. The MRC Action Team participates in conservative rallies across the country spreading our message and arming citizen activists with the tools necessary to hold the press accountable.

Social Media is a powerful weapon in our arsenal to counter left-wing propaganda in the media. MRC has an active presence on Facebook and Twitter, connecting and engaging with hundreds of thousands of Americans who demand that we hold the media accountable for their blatant disregard for the facts. The interactive format allows our fans to post comments, show support for our cause, and share our message with their friends.

NewsBusted™ is a weekly two-minute MRCTV comedy production that conservatives love and liberals love to hate. Featuring the comedic stylings of Jodi Miller, it is loaded with her irreverent, sarcastic wit and one-liners poking fun at the loony left.

MRC Newsletters provide information and entertainment for over 300,000 subscribers who want to remain up-to-date about the latest breaking media bias news. MRC offers six electronic newsletters featuring a bi-weekly compilation of the most outrageous quotes from the liberal media, analysis of the media’s anti-business and anti-traditional values bias, a summary of mistakes and misinformation in the New York Times, and the latest scoops that liberal reporters refuse to cover.

MRC Internship Program. In 1992 the MRC founded this internship program to educate young conservatives about media bias in the news so they can work to bring balance to the media in the political or journalistic career they pursue.
