Located in Alexandria, Virginia, the MRC works to bring political balance to the media, and to restore responsibility to the entertainment industry. Openings exist for both experienced and entry level fundraisers. The MRC is currently in the final planning stages for a major Capital Campaign and has openings for experienced major gift fundraisers. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience with not-for-profit organizations or with political campaigns. Equivalent professional sales experience in other industries will be considered. One on one personal solicitation experience with individuals, foundations or corporations is mandatory. This is not an event planning position. Professional presentation and the ability to effectively communicate both in person and writing are required. Candidates must be well versed in conservative issues and current political events as well as with the media. Competitive compensation is available and is based on experience and accomplishments. Marketing/Graphic Design Intern
America’s largest
and most respected media watchdog is seeking a
Marketing/Graphic Design Intern interested in
all aspects of campaign management for the fall
semester. The internship is a full-time position
from the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with
flexible schedule options and a compensation of
$8.50 per hour.
Interns work closely with MRC analysts to monitor news programs for liberal media bias. They input details into the News Tracking System and also review assigned print publications. The interns participate in the News Division’s weekly meetings and discuss current news and trends being documented. MRC Interns work in a professional environment to uncover the media’s political agenda. Usually available year-round. CNSNews.com Aspiring journalists learn basic hands-on news reporting skills, with heavy emphasis on balance. Working at CNS enables interns to get "real world" experience in the high-speed atmosphere of a newsroom. Interns for CNS also learn to network with conservative organizations and assist them with getting their news and perspectives reported by CNS. Usually available year-round.
