Statement By Brent Bozell Regarding the Attack Against Christians By NBC's
Today Show
Apology Demanded For "One Of The Most Insidious
And Bigoted Attacks Against Christians Ever Seen"
"We waited a full day before reacting to the offensive attack against Christians by NBC's
Today Show in hopes an apology would be forthcoming. Hearing none, we have no choice but to condemn the network, its producers and on-air talent for one of the most insidious and bigoted attacks against Christians ever seen.
"David Gregory's report on yesterday's show laid the blame for Matthew Shepard's murder directly at the feet of Christians. For NBC and the
Today Show to even think about airing such a report betrays the overwhelmingly anti-religious bias in the media.
"Katie Couric, David Gregory, the producers of the
Today Show, and NBC News executives owe all Christians - and all Americans for that matter - an immediate apology for this vicious attack. How dare anyone suggest the Christian message of love is responsible for the awful murder of Matthew Shepard?"
