Statement From Brent Bozell on NBC Advisory To Spike Bush Victory in Favor of ‘Titanic’

Tell a friend about this site

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The following is a statement issued by Media Research Center Chairman Brent Bozell on NBC News’ advisory urging NBC affiliate stations NOT to “dump out” of the movie Titanic this past Sunday night in favor of the live announcement by the Florida Secretary of State’s certification of George W. Bush’s victory in Florida.

“The only logical explanation for this is what we have said from the beginning: NBC has chosen sides in this election from day one and just like its candidate – Al Gore – it refuses to concede the election.

“There can now be no question whatsoever in anyone’s mind that NBC News is merely an extension of the Al Gore for President campaign.

“The continuously biased manner in which NBC has approached this campaign has only served to mislead, misinform – and, in the case of Sunday night, uniform – the American people.”
