THIS IS ‘FAIR?’
BOZELL DEFENDS FOX NEWS AGAINST LIBERAL ATTACK
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Media
Research Center President Brent Bozell today ridiculed the
attack of ‘conservative bias’ against Fox News Channel’s Brit
Hume, and his news show Special Report.
“Once
again, this organization has proven itself to be a joke.
How does a group calling itself ‘Fair’ only find conservative
bias in a network world of liberal bias that has been proven and
documented for years?” Bozell said.
Bozell noted
how, in the past, FAIR has also criticized ABC News’ Nightline
and PBS’ MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour for being too conservative,
attacks that are simply absurd. An example includes this FAIR accusation
in 1993 about PBS: “Environmentalists, feminists and labor activists
receive scant attention within public television programming, while
corporate and government spokespersons dominate both regularly scheduled
news and business programs” (August 23, 1993).
