BOZELL: THE BELL TOLLS FOR AIR AMERICA

MRC President Notes Major Media
Ignoring Failure of Liberal Radio Station

Tell a friend about this site

Alexandria, VA—Air America, the liberal alternative to conservative talk radio, is moving from WLIB (1190AM) in New York to the even smaller and weaker station WWRL (1600AM), making it harder for the low-ratings program to be heard. Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center, issued the following statement about Air America’s imminent collapse:

Air America’s failure is further proof that liberalism does not sell in the marketplace,” Bozell said. “Failure in New York City – the epicenter of intellectual liberalism – means, to paraphrase Frank Sinatra, if you can’t make it there you can’t make it anywhere.”

“If this had been Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, the liberal media would be salivating at a conservative’s demise. Instead, they remain silent as Al Franken and his flagship station sink into nothingness.”

“For whom does the bell toll? It tolls for Air America,” he concluded.
