ALEXANDRIA, VA – Brent Bozell and the Media Research Center will honor Rush Limbaugh at the 20th Anniversary Gala by presenting him with the First Annual “William F. Buckley, Jr. Award for Media Excellence” at the Grand Hyatt Washington on March 29, 2007. The inscription of the award will read:

In honor of his outstanding leadership in the conservative movement, defending and advancing conservative principles through the media

“We are honored to present this award to a pioneer of the emerging alternative media, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to conservative ideals,” said L. Brent Bozell III, President of the Media Research Center. “It’s only fitting that Rush Limbaugh be the first recipient of this annual award.”

Other conservative celebrities that will participate in the evenings’ DisHonors Award presentations, mock acceptance speeches and conservative festivities include: Sean Hannity, Amb. John Bolton, Joe Scarborough, Cal Thomas, Mary Matalin, Michael Steele, Ann Coulter, Pat Sajak, and Neal Boortz.
