MRC REPORT: HUFFINGTON’S HOUSE OF HORRORS
A Radical Left Celebration of Hate Speech

Tell a friend about this site

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Today the Media Research Center released an extensive review of content posted on The Huffington Post weblog since its inception two years ago. The report, Huffington’s House of Horrors, exposes an ongoing campaign of profanity, crude sexual and excretory metaphors and outright hate speech against conservatives, despite the pledge to avoid offensive content made by founder Arianna Huffington at the onset of the blog.

In light of The Huffington Post’s experimental online presidential debate that will debut this week in conjunction with Yahoo! and Slate.com, MRC President Brent Bozell issued the following statement:

“The Huffington Post is a celebration of character assassination, vicious personal attacks and obscene smears,” stated L. Brent Bozell III, President of the Media Research Center. “Liberals love to talk about conservative hate speech. There is no reputable conservative organization that compares to The Huffington Post in this department,” he concluded.

The full report is found online at www.mrc.org

Some Highlights from Huffington’s House of Horrors
WARNING: Objectionable language not censored

Actor Sean Penn mocked Sean Hannity as a “whore” for Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdoch, Bill O’Reilly for “massaging his rectum with a loofah” and wrote that America’s failure to impeach President Bush will show “we become a cum-stain on the flag we wave.”

Actor Alex Baldwin denounced Dick Cheney as a terrorist and “lying, thieving Oil Whore” and fantasized about killing the Vice President with Osama Bin Laden’s corpse

Actor John Cusack approvingly quoted the late drug-addled journalist Hunter S. Thompson, denouncing conservatives as “flag-sucking half-wits” … “They are the racists and hate mongers among us – they are the Ku Klux Klan. I piss down the throats of these Nazis.”

Blogger Peter Mehlman declared that Adolf Hitler was a better man than President George Bush because “even the world’s worst fascist dictators at least meant well.”

Charles Karel Bouley, a gay San Francisco radio talk show host, insisted Tony Snow deserved cancer for lying to the American people at the behest of his “dictator-esque boss.” The March 27, 2007 post was later pulled “at the request of the author.”
